Our Directors

Tracey Bailey - Musical Director

Our MD Tracey has been involved in acappella harmony singing for well over 2 decades. She is part of the group. She sings, directs, performs and leads by example, teaching us all the aspects of singing that we need to know, helping us to develop our singing skills and techniques, building in characterisation, performance and all done in way that creates a fun filled and inclusive singing environment, accessible by all, regardless of your ability.

'Many of us joined thinking we couldn’t sing, but under Tracey’s guidance we found we could and what joy we have with it. If there is a party to be had, you’ll find her in the middle, singing her socks off and loving every minute of it.'

As a self-employed singing teacher Tracey is very popular, teaching musical theatre and contemporary vocals, alongside acappella harmonies. Leading school groups, mixed community choirs and teaching individuals, of all ages and abilities, helping them to higher achievements vocally.

Tracey was recently nominated and shortlisted as a top three finalist in the Inspirational Woman of the Year Award 2025.

Lauren Bailey - Assistant Musical Director

I have been singing acappella harmony since a small child, competing in my first competition at 11 years as a tenor and have sung every part since then, finally settling into baritone, though have competed as a Bass in a quartet with my mum, which was lots of fun. I have also competed in a worldwide young women in harmony barbershop competition in Manchester as a Bass, where we placed 6th. Being involved in Sweet Adelines and Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS) over the years, I have a passion for encouraging young people to find the joy and love of singing acappella harmonies, helping to set up school groups, supporting wokshops and recently I am honoured to have been appointed as the LABBS Youth Competing Chorus Director, which will be competing in Harrogate in October 2025. I am very proud to be the Assistant Musical Director and the Team Leader for the fabulous Acappella Sound. Over the past four years, this group has grown into a beautiful singing family, welcoming all ages and all abilities and I love to play my part in helping to bring them together to make wonderful music.
