Cornwall's Acappella Sound
Acappella Sound started in 2015 in Roche, Nr St Austell, bringing together like minded women who wanted to sing and develop their singing skills together and this is till our goal. We have had some fab gigs over this time performing at Eden, Port Elliot Festival, Wadebridge Carnival and big lunch, Helstonbury, late night shopping events as well as representing Cornwall nationally and internationally.
During lockdown Acappella Sound has still had fun, in a slightly different way. We moved to the virtual platform Zoom encouraging women to come and sing we have held summer singing workshops and currently Sing Christmas which had 55 women sign up to find out more! We even recorded a song learnt in lockdown.
We are excited to say we have moved to the very centrally located Ladock Community Hall Nr Truro and moved days to Mondays which has really helped the chorus to discover its Roar! and we love to see each other and connect through singing, laughing and being the mad group of women that we naturally are.
